We offer several different cosmetic treatments at our office, each designed to help patients obtain a more attractive smile. While some may require multiple visits, one can actually correct cosmetic concerns in a single visit. We can do a lot with tooth bonding, from repairing teeth to masking teeth stains.
Frequently Asked Questions About Tooth Bonding
Question: How do you perform the procedure?
Answer: First, we need to prepare the tooth by cleaning it (removing decay) and then gently etching the surface. We then prepare the composite resin by shading it to blend with the tooth. We apply the material in several layers, the etching helping it adhere to the tooth as it cures under a light. Finally, we polish the tooth for a more natural appearance. The entire procedure from start to finish only takes a single sitting.
Question: What issues can you address with tooth bonding?
Answer: We can use the procedure to mask permanent teeth stains that teeth whitening may not be able to address. We can also repair chipped teeth and close unsightly gaps between the teeth. We also use the same material as a way to provide natural looking dental fillings. Finally, we can reshape teeth, helping you enjoy a more esthetically pleasing smile.
Question: Can you use it with other procedures?
Answer: We may use it in a combination with dental contouring, remaking the smile in a single visit. We’ve also used tooth boning along with veneers to brighten smiles and offer a small and cost effective smile makeover.
